Our special guest is Jonah Raskin, who will sign copies of his latest book, A Terrible Beauty: The Wilderness of American Literature, which has been called the first work of cultural criticism to look back at writing in the United States from the perspective of the contemporary environmental crisis.
Jonah Raskin will also be Thorne Dreyer’s guest on Rag Radio, Friday, February 6, from 2-3 p.m. (CST). Rag Radio is a syndicated radio show that originates on Austin’s KOOP 91.7-FM. The show is streamed live here.
Jonah, an activist and educator and the author of a dozen books (and poetry chap books), including biographies of Allen Ginsberg, Abbie Hoffman, and Jack London, is a contributing editor to The Rag Blog. The former Minister of Information for the Youth International Party (Yippies), Raskin is Professor Emiritus at Sonoma State University in northern California. where he chaired the Communication Studies Department.
